Asphalt-RecyclingGranulator |
The main criteria of the Benninghoven R&D team was to design a granulator to break asphalt blocks and planings to a recyclable size without reducing original stone content thereby creating minimum fines, all at the most economic production level. The plant consists of a primary single shaft granulator, a magnetic belt detector, a single deck screen and a secondary double shaft granulator Plant configuration: |
 | | | Other recyclable materials: - Asphalt plannings - Ceramic rejects - Building blocks & bricks - Sandstone - Salt rock - Glass - Coal & graphite, slate Method of operation: Materials are fed to the feed hopper and forced onto the single shaft granulator by oscillating hydraulic rams. The granulated material is then conveyed to the single deck screen after passing a magnetic belt detector which removes the metallic content. The single deck screen separates the already to size material for stock piling, the oversize material is passed the secondary double shafted granulator. This double shaft granulator is equipped with adjustable setting to enable final product grading. The final material produced iis to acceptable gradings enabling further processing giving maximum economical results thereby maximizing profit Advantages: - Utilisation of valuable and finite resources - Low operational costs - Low wear costs - Highest efficiency - Minimum dust & noise emissions - Minimum Fines Content - Can handle tramp iron |
